WW II AND 1/2: The Iran-Israel Conflict will not ruin anybody's vacation or Secession Movement
From the following report from the Israeli Defense Force, it sounds like Iran is miscalculating the current strategic situation in the Middle East.
By firing rockets at Israelis forces on the Golan Heights, (the Syrian Mountain range that Israel captured from Syria in the 1967 War), Iran apparently believes it can start another Arab war against Israel (in retaliation for Trump's cancellation of the iran Nuclear Deal partly based on Israeli intelligence showing Iran was cheating in complying with the Deal).
Three reasons Iran is miscalculating in its aggressive actions against Israel:
1. Israel is the only nation in the Middle East with nuclear weapons at present. The last unofficial report from the British Jane's Fighting ships is that Israel has 60 nuclear bombs. Iran is the one Moslem country that Israel specifically made known as a matter of policy to use nuclear weapons against because Iran arms the terrorists groups Hamas and Hezbollah that regularly attack Israel with rockets, and also because Iran makes it public that one reason Iran tries to develop its own nuclear weapons is to use in "wiping off Israel from the map."
2. In the present Middle East geopolitics, there will never be another Arab War like there used to be when all the Arab countries from Africa to the Middle East used to cooperate in a war against Israel. Today, the Arab world is divided: one half of the big Arab countries that used to cooperate against Israel (Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia are allies to Israel; the other half, (Syria, Iraq and Iran) are a disorganized alliance.
3. Iran cannot spread the coalition or the war itself against Israel, because Israel actually worked out assurances with the Soviet Union and the US that Israel will do its best to limit any hostilities strictly against Iran and its assets and active supporters like the terror groups. The Russians cannot come into the war between Iran and Israel unless there is a threat to Soviet forces in the area.
So fortunately, any war between Iran and Israel will not become a WW III, ruining everybody's
party or vacation, or even Secession Movement! GOD IS MERCIFUL.
Go ahead and read the report from the Associated Press from the Israeli Defense Force Headquarter:
Israel said it struck "nearly all" of the Iranian infrastructure sites in Syria on Thursday, in direct response to a barrage of Iranian rocket fire targeting Israeli military positions in the Golan Heights.
The Israel Defense Force (IDF) said it deployed fighter jets that struck every target on its list. The targets included military compounds, intelligence operations and munition warehouses, a statement read. The strikes were Israel's largest air operation in years, the statement read.
The missile launcher responsible for the Iranian rocket strikes was destroyed, according to the release.

Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, a military spokesman, called the roughly 20 missiles fired from Iranian forces based in Syria "the most severe attempt" by Iran's Al Quds force to attack the country. It was the first time Iranian forces have attacked Israel from Syria, according to Reuters.
Conricus said four rockets were intercepted and the others fell short of their targets. No injuries or damage was reported.
“The IDF will not allow the Iranian threat to establish itself in Syria. The Syrian regime will be held accountable for everything happening in its territory,” the press release read. “The IDF is prepared for a wide variety of scenarios.”
Syria's state media said Syrian air defenses intercepted "hostile Israeli missiles" early Thursday that were fired over southwestern Damascus. Hours later, state-run Al-Ikhbariya TV broadcast a live feed of Syrian air defenses firing into the sky above the capital, and loud explosions and air defense firing were heard through the night.
There was no immediate information about Iranian causalities, but Conricus said the main intent was to target hardware rather than personnel.
Israel warned Russia ahead of the airstrikes on Thursday, according to Reuters.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu just returned from a trip with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the ongoing situation in Syria, where Russia also has a military presence backing Assad.
But Israel and Russia have maintained close communications to prevent their air forces from coming into conflict.
