Governmental Use of Free Open Source Software (FOSS)

edited April 19 in General
This is more of a curiosity than anything else.

Does anyone know if any of the various levels of government in the FSM have adopted open source software ie. Linux, BSD, or OpenSolaris? Considering the rapidly disappearing issues with compatibility with Windows/MacOS, office productivity software, would it be something worth considering?

In the interest of full disclosure, I have been an avid user of Red Hat flavored Linux distributions since 1999.
